Joseph as I commented above I have reproduced the behavior in the mainline kernel albeit after 19h30m not 24h. Per conversation with Kent and https://bugs.launchpad.net/dell-sputnik/+bug/1161962 I have disabled TPM and Smart Connect (Rapid Start was already disabled). Will report findings in 24 hours.
