Is there any workaround for this yet? I'm on a 14.04 install up-to-date,
and I can confirm this bug for me:

pm-utils commands work just fine (except that they don't include the
screen-locking for security, but they suspend and hibernate perfectly).
However, I have no suspend or hibernate in my menus, can't specify them
in my power management settings, and upower -d shows the "can-suspend:
no" and "can-hibernate: no" entries.
