Confirmed with Gutsy Tribe-5 32-bit. After pressing Ctrl+Alt+Backspace the desktop clears to just the background image. Occasional hard-disk activity (judging by LED flashes), Caps-Lock, Scroll-Lock, Num-Lock don't respond - LEDs don't toggle, cannot switch to virtual console using Ctl+Alt+F1 through F5, and CPU usage hits a constant 100% (judging by CPU fan running at maximum). Ctl+Alt+SysReq does seem to be handled.
