Notice in pulse audio when in Configuration tab i set to (IEC958) then go back to Output Devices tab the only "port" available in dropdown menue is "Digital Output (S/PDIF)" whaereas I have just the cheaper variety of speakers what use what I think are analog ports (like 9mm jack).
Other settings in configuration are analog and in Output Device tab allow analog outputs. Maybe I need to try and buy S/PDIF speakers?
