AMD 64 Dual 175 Opteron MoBoard=MSI K8 Neo4 7125 Speakers: Just standard computer speakers. No amp or other audio device. Work fine in other operating system. Removed Soundblaster Audigy (24 bit) which wasn't working anyway (with Linux) to maybe simplify as MoBo has integrated Realtek AC97 which is touted as caplable of 7.1 surround. Still, no luck. . While it has S/PDIF output jack, I don't have that kind of cable/speakers... just trying to use the small/standard (3.5mm) color coded jacks. Anyway... no output from those, analog outputs.
