By building Osmo from source on my laptop was able to get a functioning Osmo. Doing the same on this desktop results in the same error, terminates before window fully displayed. Built with the debug option. The backtrace shows main calling to init gtk and the failure calling g_malloc from gtk_cairo_set_source_pixbuf().
