I seem to be able to still trigger this error message "FileNotFoundError: /var/lib/system-image/blacklist.tar.xz" on image #212 with ubuntu-system-settings 0.1+14.04.20140218.1-0ubuntu1
root@ubuntu-phablet:/# apt-cache policy ubuntu-system-settings ubuntu-system-settings: Installed: 0.1+14.04.20140218.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 0.1+14.04.20140224.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: 0.1+14.04.20140224.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/ trusty/universe armhf Packages *** 0.1+14.04.20140218.1-0ubuntu1 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Easily reproduced. Go to system settings -> updates. Choose to install the update, but while it's downloading, pull up the toolbar and press "back". Go back into "Updates" and after a while the error appears.
