I made a 13.04 live USB, updated it which means in my case 32 bit 3.0.19. 
Booted from this, the Dragonfly worked fine. However, the installed Ubuntu 
currently uses the mainline kernel 3.8.8 and the dragonfly doesn't work as 
described here.

3.0.19 isn't an option on this machine since it is a media PC, and
3.0.19 has a bug which means no HDMI audio, so I personally need to wait
until the HDMI bug is fixed before I go back to Ubuntu kernels.

Possibly I have a configuration problem, and the issue is not kernel
related. In which case, I will reinstall.
