I have not yet tried that, Julian W. The problem is that this bug started to appear at the time -38 came out, but then it also happened after a couple of shutdowns in -36 -37 -39 and now -40 as well. The bug is very difficult to reproduce and sort out, because it does not happen all the time, however I will try -38 again and then try to deactivate fglrx.
