OK - I can confirm that none of those 3 kernels contain the ar5523 driver, however, this does help to fix something else in the works, which I mentioned earlier - ndiswrapper. The last of those 3 kernels which 1.58~rc1 builds in successfully is 3.8.0-030800rc3-generic. At rc4, it busts :) We need to bisect the commits between 3.8.0-2 and 3.8.0-3 to hit this successfully, methinks.
