Note that the syslog-vs.-logfile handling was fixed up in fetchmail 6.3.10, which was released in 2009 on July 2nd, i. e. LONG BEFORE Ubuntu lucid, from the NEWS file (reformatted): ... # CHANGES ... * Proper precedence ordering for the syslog and logfile options. If the logfile option is effective (i. e. we're in daemon mode and nodetach isn't used), reset the syslog option. If logfile is ineffective (we're not in daemon mode, or nodetach is set), syslog takes precedence. ... The unclear run-time message and documentation, however, remain. Back on topic, I still maintain that there should be a SRU to 6.3.22 (even if Debian does not propagate this from unstable into testing on the pretext that the delta to 6.3.21 were too large). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1054447 Title: fetchmail stops fetching mail To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fetchmail/+bug/1054447/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
