You are you using the generic DESKJET2.PPD CUPS driver, do you have the
same result with the recommended hpijs driver for your DeskJet 890C?
Printing you PostScript file works fine on my DeskJet 3820 (with and without
the comments), after correcting your PostScript file that is missing a %%Page
comment:
$ cupstestdsc test.ps
test.ps: FAIL
Missing or bad %%Page: comments!
REF: Page 53, %%Page:
Can you also attach the PDF file with the problem?
I see your locale is en_US, are you using "Letter" size paper?
Please attach the output of the following commands:
$ lpoptions -p <printername> -l
$ grep "Default" /etc/cups/ppd/<printername>.ppd
--
page cut off ~ 1in from right margin
