I noticed that using Chrome/Chromium along simultaneously with Firefox triggers the bug immediately or only 3 or 4 minutes later. The Freeze occured frequently when I was interacting with Flash/HTML5 resources in Chrome/Chromium. I had this Freeze about 15 times now. COMPLETE FREEZE.
I doubt it's Xorg or Compiz. Sounds like a Kernel/Unity communication issue to me. Someone above reported that the issue is also present on Mint Linux and Debian.
