The computer restarted, showed the ubuntu logo with the orange bar underneath, got as far as the first segment being "lit up" and then went to a text console with the message (not verbatim, I'm entering this from another computer): ----------- loading please wait... mdadm: No arrays found in config file or automatically mount: Mounting /dev/disk/by-uuid/.......... on /root failed: device or resource busy Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
BusyBox v1.1.3 ..... Enter 'help' for list of commands /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off (initramfs) --------- Entering "reboot" at the busybox prompt cycles through everything above and ends in the same place. "shutdown" at busybox prompt is a bad command or filename. Now trying hard power off. ... same as above, except there is no "device busy" message. -- distribution upgrade "A fatal error occured" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116476 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
