I don't think the reset button was a good idea.  The computer restarted, showed 
the ubuntu logo with the orange bar underneath, got as far as the first segment 
being "lit up" and then went to a text console with the message (not verbatim, 
I'm entering this from another computer):

Entering "reboot" at the busybox prompt cycles through everything above and 
ends in the same place.
"shutdown" at busybox prompt is a bad command or filename.
Now trying hard power off.
...
same as above, except there is no "device busy" message.
