0.3.14 is released in the PPA. It fixes this bug and works most of the time, but I'm occasionally seeing errors. (the same as what Kevin Godby posted above.) I'm still working on that, but in the mean time, if you're in a hurry to get Pithos working, try 0.3.14 and relaunch it if you encounter that error.
