This 3.0.0-13-server works differently. At first sight it was strange:
After apt-get install linux-image-server (which installed the 3.0.0-13-server),
made a reboot, then this 13-server made a reset during boot process. Then I
booted a working kernel (3.2.0-rc3 from kernel.org): it has been booted fine.
Then I booted 3.0.0-13-server again, and it didn't made a reset, but gave me a
maintenance console. (it said: Serious errors were found while checking the
disk drive for /.) The root fs was mounted read-only, but the nodes, which i
have created before, still existed, so i could made a dmesg from this boot (see
attached dmesg-13-server-maintenance.txt). Then I made several reboots with
this 13-server kernel, and once it has been booted well.

I've played a while, and found that 3.0.0-13-server kernel makes a fine boot,
then makes a reset during boot process. Several times I've turned off the
server completely, and it doesn't make any difference: one fine boot, one reset.
If I boot another working kernel (I have chosen the ppa kernel from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.2-rc2-oneiric/), then make a
reboot, and choose this 13-server kernel, it always resets the server. In this
case (and only this case) the bios is complaining about fatal error:

Alert! System fatel error during previous boot
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run setup utility

Next time the 13-server boots fine. And then it goes into the cycle mentioned
above.
I've not seen the maintenance console anymore. And bios doesn't complain about
fatal errors when the 13-server kernel is booted one after one, even if it
makes a reset.

I've attached dmesg output about fine boot also (see dmesg-13-server-
well-booted.txt)

I hope I could tell the story clearly....
