Every operating system except ubuntu lets you change the position of the launcher, dock or task bar. This is a very basic option. There is no good reason to take this decision away from users. Originally you said that it was to keep the launcher near the ubuntu button. Now the button is on the launcher, and you still refuse to budge an inch. > This is about measuring what works for people off the > street, just as you describe, and deciding to focus on those things done > that way. The sort of user who finds options 'burdensome' need not install CCSM - probably doesn't even know about it! How will adding one more very standard and reasonable option to the CCSM unity plugin burden anyone?
