For a quick fix: I have downloaded the Fedora RPM from here: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/development/16/i386/os/Packages/krename-4.0.7-2.fc16.i686.rpm and converted it to DEB with alien. Seems to work fine. Please find it attached in case you want it.
