Right after a completely new clean install of Feisty (I don't believe in upgrading dists since it has gone wrong too many times) I installed de pptp plugin for network manager, when I tried to connect to my VPN server the connection timed out or failed (not sure which of the two it was). This evening I will grab my girlfriends PC, which is untainted with firestarter and I will see what the exact error messages were when trying to connect to the VPN server. To me, it seems that the routing is not working properly. And without firestarter installed and configured, it seems that the VPN server is not allowed to send me any data. Not quite sure what happens.
