Confirmed with mainline build (3.1.0-999-generic). Removed tag. [Actually, I already thought of checking upstream so I built the upstream kernel from git (3.1-rc6) before, and I mentioned it above. And I additionally checked twice with the newest release of compat-wireless, the last time with the tarball from 2011-10-10 (from yesterday, checked today, mentioned a few hours ago), which should be even ahead of the kernel a few more days if not weeks... So I am very confident, that the bug was never fixed and isn't even known of upstream, hence I turned to the ath9k-devel mailing liste a few hours ago]
