** Attachment added: "Ubuntu_Desktop.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/732016/+attachment/2366470/+files/Ubuntu_Desktop.png
** Description changed: Binary package hint: unity The "Desktop" placeholder menubar that appears on Unity when no window is focused has no title. This looks inconsistent, makes harder for the user to know that a placeholder menubar exists in the first place and leaves an awkward left gap when the menu is being shown. This could be solved by simply placing a "Desktop" title there, or maybe "File Manager" to be consistent with Nautilus. Desired solution: - When no window is in focus (e.g. after logging in or after closing all - windows), the "Ubuntu desktop" should be displayed in the top left of - the Top Bar. See attached design unity_desktop_24_06_11_02.png + windows), the Ubuntu roundel followed by the word "Desktop" should be + displayed in the top left of the Top Bar. See attached design + Ubuntu_Desktop.png - There is no menu attached to this title, so mouseover should do nothing (e.g. "Ubuntu desktop" continues to be displayed) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/732016 Title: Desktop should be titled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/732016/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
