Sorry, maybe you should do the below:
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/media/udisk/tmp oflag=direct bs=120K
count=2K,
and /media/udisk is the mount point of your usb disk, still capture
the usbmon log
for the 'dd' test.
Also you can use another usb mass storage to do the same test and see if there
will be any changes.
