Hi Damien, I'll close this bug report then, as it doesn't seem to be a problem with Firefox proper.
However one thing I can suggest if you'd like to be able to use your original profile, is to disable all your addons and re-enable one at a time to test which one might be giving trouble. Also, please try clearing the Firefox cache, by going to Edit -> Preferences, then the Advanced tab and press the "Clear now" button under the "offline storage" section. Maybe this will also help clear up the issue.
