Step to reproduce: Plug-in the soundcard and a mic in the multiple Analog/Digital input jack. Try to play with the Gnome ALSA mixer and/or aumix to get your microphone to work. Analyse that the input line isn't working. You can also try to record something from Audacity. Constat that it is just recording silence. Version information: Linux Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 2.6.20-15-generic ALSA-base v1.0.14rc3 ALSA-utils v1.0.14rc2 aumix 2.8 AlsaMixer v1.0.14rc2 I also tried with the original ALSA from Feisty Fawn (v1.0.13-3) but I - had the same issue (this is why I upgraded to v1.0.14rc3) + had the same issue (this is why I upgraded to v1.0.14rc3). Analog output + works very well. I also used the asoundconf-gtk to set my default + soundcard.
