Howdy! Could you help me test a possible solution by doing this: 1) make sure you don't have any alsa drivers installed, i e if you run "modinfo snd-hda-codec" the "Filename" line should not say anything with "updates" in it. 2) Download and install http://people.canonical.com/~diwic/temp/alsa-hda-dkms-acer3830tg_0.1_all.deb 3) Reboot and test. Test all inputs and outputs and report back whether the issue is now fixed or not.
