Please reopen this bug. This has been a problem for a long time, and affects both OpenOffice and LibreOffice, on multiple different versions of Ubuntu (up to and including Natty).
I can't count the number of times I've had to restart Writer to get Paste Special functionality back. When started, Paste Special works for a while. At some stage, for unknown reasons, it stops working, and the expected dialog simply fails to appear. This affects both hotkey and menu selection of Paste Special. It should be easily reproducible under working conditions.
