2.6.20-15 also doesn't work on one of my machines (HP Compaq d330). Ends with
ALERT! /dev/diks/by-uuid/......... does not exist. Dropping to a shell Before I also get ATA: abnormal status 0x7F on port 0x0....... and ATA: port is slow to respond 0xD0 errors. This error also happens when using the Feist livecd. Booting in Feisty with the 2.6.17-11 kernel works however. I'm using uuids in menu.lst and fstab and they're all set correctly. Doing a modprobe ide-disk and ide-generic in the Busybox shell did not work.
