Here's another case: same problem, slightly different symptons. I have two hard drives and two dvd drives. My boot partition is on the first hard drive and my machine starts from that drive. All the rest of my installation is on the second drive.
The machine will boot (after quite a while, while different xfermodes are tried), but after booting, I cannot access the first harddrive. While this drive was known as /dev/sda in edgy, feisty now lables the second drive as sda. I no longer have a sdb device. -- 2.6.20-15 still won't boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106418 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
