Okay, well I think we've had progress. I couldn't find libxine-all-codecs but did load another couple of libxine packages from Synaptic but still no sound. As per your instructions I then recorded something with Me-Tv. When playing back with xine - no sound. With VLC player, I had sound - perfect copy. Clearly this is something to do with xine set-up. I hope this helps narrow down the system issue. In sound preferences, xine's volume was at the lowest setting, but adjusted to max, yielded no change.
Well at least I guess we've proved there's probably nothing wrong with Me-Tv. I hope this helps..... Owen On Wed, 2011-05-18 at 10:49 +0000, Michael Lamothe wrote: > Nearly out of ideas.
