Hi Michael, Thanks for the response. I found I had not loaded "xine-ui". I did so from the software centre and have run the application. It works just fine and will load a video file with both video and sound. I guess that's a little different than receiving a signal from a TV card, but does show the application is working okay on my PC. Subsequently running "me-tv" does not fix my sound issue, however. The issue with me-tv remains as reported. Does this help?
