Simon, Kia ora! I just read you post and noticed what you said about the battery life in 10.04 negatively affected because of supplying power to both video cards. Also that you solved this using the 2.6.35 kernel. A few questions:
Which computer are you referring to? the ASUS K42JC? (I have been terribly disappointed in battery life for such a new computer.) You mention 2.6.35 kernel is the default for 10.10, do later kernels include the necessary fix or do you have to stick with 2.6.35? Thanks for sharing what you've learned. It'd be great to have this laptop last longer that 45-60 mins. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/695191 Title: package bcmwl-kernel-source 5.60.48.36 bdcom-0ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: bcmwl kernel module failed to build -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
