I found a workaround: Note: I have only confirmed this with the Kubuntu 7.04 Live CD, not Ubuntu... if someone would test it with Ubuntu and post results, that'd be great... 1. Boot the Live CD as normal 2. When the screen goes blank and the CD spins down, press CTRL+ALT+F6 3. Then type: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx sudo depmod -a sudo aticonfig --initialize sudo aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv sudo startx 4. X should restart and load the KDM desktop -- [regression] 7.2 broke vesa: "No matching modes found" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/89853 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
