Clear solution? Really? How about doing what the desktop environemnts/window managers do? (Firefox can't handle the [Windows] + [Tab] or [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [F1] because it's reserved for Aero, or in the latter case for Linux. How hard it would be to likewise reserve a few hotkeys? And make it configurable. Show a small icon somewhere - no need for the full info bar - and let the user enable full-capture on a per URL basis.)
Writing fancy specifications and waiting for the plugin vendors is clearly an anti-pattern. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263435 Title: Firefox cannot close tab (using Ctrl-w) when flash content is selected on page -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
