Recent upgrade Jaunty-Karmic produced the same problems for me, camera is a Kodak Z740. Tried the camera.app solution but no joy there either; no error messages but just a grey-out of the application download box - and zero downloads. Surely someone out there, perhaps a really kind, thoughtful, superbrained HyperDevvy can give us a proper fix?
