Apparently this is due to a combination of factors, issues in kernel
notify implementation and a specific unsupported situation (for example,
Outlook PSTs and OST on a network share).

Could you add the following to the [global] section of your /etc/samba/smb.conf 
and see if it fixes it ?
kernel change notify = false
