Thanks for the logs! Seems there is everythign alright with kernel, udev, and udisks. Please install the "gvfs-bin" package.
Please insert a DVD and eject it again, so that you are in the situation after which CDs aren't recognized any more. Now do gvfs-mount -li and copy&paste the output. Now do gvfs-mount -oi and insert the DVD again. Wait some 10 seconds, then press Control-C, and copy&paste the entire output. After that, does the DVD get mounted if you do udisks --mount /dev/sr0 (please copy&paste the entire output). Thanks! ** Package changed: ubuntu => gvfs (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- cd/dvd auto-mounting only on first inserted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/658377 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
