1) Start up transmission with a few torrents and paste the "top" command file here.
Do it with the following command while transmission is running........then paste the file as an attachment to the site here. top -bn1 > ~/Desktop/Top-Command (This will put the output file on your desktop.) 2) You say the interface is laggy? This should not be the case with such a small amount of CPU usage.
