Bug still present in Lucid. but thanks knarf! this worked for me:
sudo apt-get autoremove --purge gnome-codec-install no complains, although rhythmbox still plays wma files. i guess if you want to play a file with a new codec now, you have to reinstall the packet first: sudo apt-get install gnome-codec-install -- Rhythmbox keeps trying to install codecs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204566 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
