I can confirm the bug. Nomodeset and disabling compiz works also for me. I have no problem with wireless driver (intel2100), but I had to disable hardware acceleration for Flash to be able to see Flash videos with Firefox. Disabling compiz makes Docky unusable, which is an irritation.
