Hi Brian, I tried the 2.6.35rc5-power2 kernel and it's definitely better than even the Karmic 2.6.31-20 I was using. With no load it reduces the wakes and power (I get 6ms C4 state as opposed to 3ms). However, with simple load on (chrome, thunderbird, emapthy and ssh client running) I get around ~300 wakes per second and 3ms C4 state. The power consumption is much better but I think there is still room for improvements. This is the best kernel till now.
