Mario, I tried "update-manager -d" again. The process appeared to start OK and then crashed with the following message:
Failed to fetch file:/usr/pluto/deb-cache/./Packages.gz File not found Failed to fetch http://linuxmce.com/ubuntu/./Packages.gz 404 Not Found I have double checked my network connection. No problems there. Everything is OK, but I can't get beyond that point in the upgrade process. I guess I'm not helping too much!
