If I then connect my wireless (to the same Linksys WRT54GS router), resolv.conf has no nameservers in it. If I put them in by editing the file, I can network. I searched the forum and found a thread that claimed that this was fixed in a newer network-manager, so I enabled http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager/trunk/ubuntu lucid main This updated lots of things, but it does not solve my problems.
