So it seems that the print job does go to the printer but nothing happens (other than a short blinking led). Nothing appears in the error log I printed out. When I set to the OKI C5900(PS) it at least comes up with an error complaining about paper sizes and I can press OK and it will print. So while images of "Michael Bolton" from Office Space beating up the printer with a baseball bat and yelling:"PC Load Letter what the $...@# does that mean" is running through my head I rather calmly adjusted the page setting on firefox, thunderbird and Open Office. Now it all prints. It also prints fine on the original printer driver. So it seems the only bug is with the driver somehow not talking to the printer and noting a page setup error.
Strange part is I have never really needed to set page settings in any of these apps before on previous Ubuntu's -- Unable to print from Firefox or Thunderbird since installing Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/597688 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
