I still have no sound .....

So to check it was not the latest ALSA drivers installed in Maverick
....... I upgraded them in my other system

Just for information for other users that may find this of a little use
...... the latest ALSA is not the problem

ON THIS KERNEL AND THIS OS all works well ...........
Linux keith-laptop 2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 22:02:19 UTC 2010
i686 GNU/Linux
r...@keith-laptop:/home/keith# cat /proc/asound/version
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.23.
Compiled on Jun 24 2010 for kernel 2.6.32-22-generic (SMP).

Does the fact the interrupt is different not make a difference .... the
different IRQ that it uses ......
its IRQ 46 in Maverick ...... but its IRQ 22 in all the systems that the SOUND
works ok on ..........
I just looked for what I could find that was not the same ...... but this is
all I really spotted
was the IRQ being different ...
