Did you -in ubuntu- recently changed the .ppds or something? After trying the attached ppd, I wanted to reproduce yet another time the bug. So I uninstalled cups, the openprintdrivers, hpij, hplip, etc. Then I reinstalled at the standard driver seems to work perfectly now.
I'm wonder if all this could be due to some bad upgrade, because I have made a dist-upgrade from edgy to feisty (not used an .iso). Anyway, when upgrading I allways take the new versions of configuration files, so it's very strange. The attached .ppd worked almost perfect. The draft option, if it should have the same effects as in the old driver "toner saving", is not working. Enabled or not, the quality is the same. And the last ppd that you attached (http://openprinting.org/ppd-o-matic.cgi?driver=pxl1010&printer=HP- LaserJet_1010) worked as expected to be, as the old driver that I used in edgy. So I would recommend the last one. But anyway, was the bug erroneous? -- hpijs driver not working in feisty (worked perfectly in edgy) https://launchpad.net/bugs/92237 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
