No, the design spec I pointed earlier says each item should open the
most relevant view.

Say there's a noisy feed and a much more interesting, but rarely
updating, one. I'll happily click on the interesting feed item and read
just it, leaving the noisy one for later. So:
(a) contradicts the design guidelines (posted earlier here) - I'm
expecting to see my feed when I click it!
(b) is a good option, configurable like this: "[x] Include individual
feeds".
