When using the presenter console, any slide with a video in it will
create a horrible echo due the the two copies of the video that show.
One shows on the projector and one for the presenter, but they are not
in sync, and this causes a horrible echo. The sound for the presenter
video is not needed, only the sound for the video that the audience
sees. I'm using Ubuntu 10.4 with the version of Open Office found in
the repositories, and the Presenter Console extension from the
repositories. I need the ability to look ahead in the presentation at
the next slide, and so have to use the Presenter Console extension, but
this bug is stopping me using Open Office Impress for my presentations,
and so I have to use a Windows Laptop until this is resolved. Quite an
important issue that concerns professional speakers and teachers who
show video clips to their audiences.
