I am following other forums on which no one has gotten the VX-1000 camera and microphone to work at the same time. I am running the most current 64-bit version of Ubuntu 9.10. With a little tweaking, my camera now works. I have never gotten the mic to work in Ubuntu, despite much tinkering wiith ALSA and PulseAudio.
