hi timo, sorry not to have responded, but want to report that my problems went away miraculously when i upgraded the nvidia driver -- this was before your recent update, so wasn't able to test the upgrade as i was no longer able to trigger the crash. if i get similar results again i'll file another bug. thanks so much for the swift update!
