We don't believe this is an issue with the SSO server.  The openid sreg
spec (http://openid.net/specs/openid-simple-registration-
extension-1_0.html) doesn't really limit nicknames to anything other
than a valid utf-8 string so this is more likely to be an issue in the
relying site's implementation (in this case, moin).  Moving to that
project so we can track it for future attention.

I'm pleased you were able to resolve your issue though.
